The Quilts of Many Colors Project makes quilts for children under 5 who pass through the Department of Children and Family Services each month. 243 quilts have been created and donated

These ladies are doing some amazing things from the heart and out of their own pocket.

Talk about recycling on a large scale! This architect came up with a really innovative way to reuse parts from a discarded airplane, making it into a home in Malibu! You can see the pictures and rest of the story here.

I know we have already posted my record label tags, however the newest tags are too pretty not to share. After endulging in sugary cereal I realized that the boxes were much to colorful to simply toss out. So here you go, tags perfect for kid gifts.

Food Containers

Do you ever feel guilty when a perfectly good food package is empty and it finds it's way to the recycle can?

For example, the plastic food containers/ packaging that are used for apples, mochi ice cream, tofu ect. they have such a perfect shape and are pretty durable.

A new use for them has been discovered that must be shared! They are perfect for holding paint and great for those small art projects that require more than one color.

Give it a try and give the poor package one more life.
